New York Campus Receives ACCSCT School of Distinction Award

MUD New York

We recently received word that our New York Campus has been given the ACCSCT School of Distinction Award. MUD’s accrediting commission, Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology, visited the New York Campus in August of 2008 as a part of the school’s accreditation process and at that time, the visiting team had no findings at the school. We were told that we should be very proud of ourselves and that walking away from a site visit with no findings was rare.

Additionally, the team was very impressed with the student satisfaction surveys that they gave out. MUD’s student body was happy and it showed! 98% of the student body “felt good about their decision to attend the school” and 98% “would recommend the school to a friend.”

The New York Campus scored higher than 90% in all of the following areas: Admissions, Academic Progress, Student Services, Faculty, Learning Resource System, Facility and Training Equipment.

The School of Distinction Award is intended to “recognize ACCSCT accredited institutions that have demonstrated a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSCT accreditation as well as a commitment to delivering quality educational programs.”

The award ceremony will be held on September 15th, 2009 in conjunction with the ACCSCT Professional Development Conference in San Diego, CA. New York’s School Director, Elizabeth Hope, will be in attendance to receive the award. In addition, she has been asked to speak at the Conference on the topic of Student Services and Retention.

The New York staff and faculty is excited that all of their hard work is being recognized and thanks ACCSCT for this honor. For more information on our accrediting agency, please visit: www.accsct.org.
