Make-up Designory Announces the Presentation of "The Make-up Room", hosted by David Dupuis

"The Make-up Room" is an opportunity to meet the finest professionals in the entertainment industry.

This is a series of live interviews, conducted at Make-Up Designory, giving students and graduates the opportunity to hear from, and ask questions of, make-up artists, special effects make-up artists, sculptors, make-up designers, department heads, art directors, and the other professionals who make the written stories become visual works of art.

Learn what the real world demanded of them, and how they met their own challenges. These events are an excellent chance to network with other graduates, active students, the instructors, and other professionals.

Originally from Atlanta, GA, David Dupuis has been a freelance make-up artist, illustrator, sculptor, and art director for over sixteen years. He began his career as an art director for advertising agencies, only doing make-up as a hobby. David's first make-up project was working for Steve Johnson on Murderous Vision (USA Cable). Since then, his career has exploded into one of the finest collections of films and television productions, earning him the Make-up Artist Guild Award for Pirates of the Carribbean: The Black Pearl, Emmy Award for Stephen King's The Stand (mini-series), the Leo Award for Stargate SG-1 (1996), as well as a Gemini Award Nominee for Stargate SG-1, and two-time Gemini Award Nominee for Outer Limits. David's film credits include X-Men 3, Blade II, The Poseidon Adventure (2005), Son of the Mask, Tiptoes, and Lord of Illusions. His television credits include Carnivale (HBO), Six Feet Under (HBO), Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Season 3 (WB), Stargate SG-1 (FOX/Sci-Fi), First Wave (FOX), Outer Limits (1995, Showtime/Sci-Fi), Stephen King's The Langoliers (ABC), Stephen King's Rose Red (ABC), and Stephen King's Storm of the Century (ABC).While names of the guests will not be released until the interview begins, announcements of upcoming interview dates and times will be posted on the career page of the school's website.
