Master Make-up Artistry Program

The educational objective of this Program is for the student to gain the job skills necessary to work as an entry-level make-up artist in the film and television industry. The Master Make-up Artistry Program teaches the techniques of make-up artistry that are required for film and television as on-set make-up artists; and, is consistent with the criteria required for membership in the major Make-up Artist and Hairstylist Union Locals. Additionally, this Program provides the student with the technical skills to be a lab technician in a professional special make-up effects lab. This Program includes the Beauty Make-up, Character Make-up, and Special Make-up Effects Courses, and requires successful completion of all three Courses.

A Diploma is presented upon completion of this Program.

Duration:

This Program meets Monday through Friday, and consists of 760 clock hours. This Program is only offered in the day sessions, conducted from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for nineteen weeks. Maximum Class Size - 20.

Program Courses:

Beauty Make-up Artistry
(160 Hours).

Character Make-up (240 Hours).

Special Make-up Effects (360 Hours).

>> Students enrolled in the Master Make-up Artistry Program are eligible to apply for Federal Student Aid.

Students who wish to apply for Federal Student Aid are advised to complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). School code: 040924.
