Studio Hairstlying Course

In today’s world, the make-up artist is often asked and expected to be able to style hair. The Studio Hairstyling Course teaches the basic fundamentals of hairstyling, from simple blow-drying techniques to intricate period hairstyling. Beyond your daily projects and skill building sessions, you will have the opportunity to practice your skills as a make-up artist/stylist in two separate projects, fantasy and period. Your period project will serve as the subject matter for your class photo shoot and be photographed by a professional photographer.

This course is designed to prepare the student to work as an entry-level make-up/stylist artist in film/TV*, print, advertising and fashion industries. This Course is not intended to be a Cosmetology Course.

Upon successful completion of this course a Certificate of Completion is awarded.

*Additional knowledge in character and special make-up effects may also be required

Duration: This Course meets Monday through Friday and consists of 120 clock hours. Day sessions are conducted from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, for three weeks. Evening sessions are conducted from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, for six weeks. Maximum Class Size – 20. Course Outline: This Course is divided into three sections.
