At Make-Up Designory (MUD), students learn by doing in an inspiring, supportive environment. Classes typically blend lectures and demonstrations with lab work and assignments, to take you from research and casting to a professional photo shoot. All of our dedicated, trained teachers draw upon at least five years of experience in a diverse range of make-up fields. Whatever path you choose, we’ve been there. We can help you get there too.

Programs and courses

Our curricula include programs that are designed to provide you with comprehensive training in your career field of choice, whether it’s film, television, fashion, or retail cosmetics. We teach the techniques that are consistent with membership in the major Make-Up Artist and Hairstylist Union Locals for film and television. You may also expand your creative toolkit by taking an individual course. In order to keep our curricula up to date, we meet twice a year with the Program Advisory Committee (PAC), a review group made up of industry professionals and employers. We award diplomas for the completion of each of our programs, and certificates for the completion of every course. Career development

MUD students also enjoy the benefits of continuous placement assistance and career guidance offered to students and graduates by the Career Services department on each campus.* This includes access to a Career Services employment website and Wednesday night career workshops.
